Sir George Sitwell, 8th Baronet

Sir George Sitwell, 8th Baronet (born 1967) is the current head of the Sitwell family.

Biography

Sir George Sitwell is the son of Susanna Cross and Francis Trajan Sacheverell Sitwell of Weston Hall, Northamptonshire, and also the nephew of Sir Reresby Sitwell, 7th Baronet. He is married to Martha Sitwell (née de Blank), daughter of restaurateur Justin de Blank.

Sir Reresby and his younger brother Francis were reportedly "never in harmony".^[1] Sir Reresby bequeathed the principal Sitwell family seat, Renishaw Hall, Derbyshire, to his daughter Alexandra, Mrs Rick Hayward. The house and estate are therefore presently separated from the Renishaw baronetcy for the first time in the family's history.
